Coaching allows people in your organization to not only view the progress of training on an individual or group of people, but that coach can review that training and take internal notes on that individual as a place to keep track of specific things the coach would like to re-visit during an upcoming one-on-one meeting with that individual or some smaller group training.

  • By default, all admins will be able to coach everyone in the organization. Select Coach Everyone from the Organizational Dashboard. You must have the Admin permission to see this button.

  • After you select Coach Everyone, you’ll see a list of people that you can coach.

You can also assign anyone in your organization as a coach of just a specific group of people (not everyone).

  • Start by creating a Coach role in your organization. Select Manage Roles from the Organizational Dashboard.

  • Select the +Add button at the top right to add a new role.

  • Name your newly created role (We'll use Coach in this example). Then select (Settings) to set the exact permissions of the Coach role.

  • There are various toggles (to turn on/off) that set the permissions this specific role can have. Since we are creating a Coach role, toggle on Can Coach People and hit Save and then select Role Settings to go back to the Role main page.

  • Finally, use the Add button to add your coaches to this role.

Once you've given your coaches the specific role to Coach - the last step is to add those coaches to the group(s) they need to coach.

  • Select Manage People from your Organizational Dashboard.

  • Then select the Groups tab and the specific group you want an individual to coach.

  • Ensure the individual you want to be able to coach is a member of the group (add them if they are not). Locate the individual and click on the Quick Actions list next to their name. Select Make Leader in order to give them access to coach anyone within that specific group.

Now David (in this example) will see Coach People on his Organizational Dashboard and it will allow him to coach just those people in his group.
